In order to build skills in language arts, students need opportunities for authentic purposes in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The purpose of a district-wide oratorical showcase is to extend a forum to young people to relate both cultural heritage and personal experiences in the format of a speech to a broad audience.
Important Dates: 
  • Class Competition -Tuesday, March 21, 2023- Submit two class winners from each grade team
  • School Competition -Friday, March 24, 2023
Students can perform:
  • Poetry recitation (2-6 minutes)
  • Famous Speech recitation(2-7 minutes)
  • Dramatic Monologue (2-7 minutes)
  • Public Speaking to persuade, inform, or entertain (3-7 minutes)
